Dr Tess ByrneAssociate Dentist

    Dr Tess Byrne grew up in Melbourne and studied dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.  She has worked in private practice in Melbourne for the past 10 years since completing her degree.  Dr Tess has always had an interest in paediatric, special needs and preventative dentistry, and she is passionate about helping people overcome any dental fears or anxiety they may have.  

    Dr Tess won the national award for Outstanding Contribution to Indigenous Communities in 2010 for her work setting up a student run dental clinic in the community of Cherbourg.  She was appointed as one of the two dentistry representatives on the national board of Future Health Leaders in 2011.  

    Dr Tess is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry, and the Australian Dental Association. She is committed to ongoing study and expanding her skills throughout her career.  Dr Tess often goes out to local primary schools and kindergartens to create positive dental experiences and promote good oral health within the community.

    Dr Tess particularly loves treating children and enjoys the unique challenges of working with kids.  She truly looks forward to building positive dental relationships and loves working together with her patients to achieve optimal health outcomes.

    Dr Tess loves adventuring with her husband and son – going to the beach, camping and picnics.  She also enjoys socialising, gardening, baking, and is a lego enthusiast.
